Bo Li holds a BSc in Light Chemical Engineering from the East China University of Science and Technology, China, and an MSc in Green Chemistry from the University of Leicester, UK. Dr Li completed his PhD in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Warwick, UK, under the supervision of Professor Rachel O’Reilly and Professor Andrew Dove. Following his PhD, Dr Li moved to Ireland and took a post-doctoral researcher position in the laboratory of Professor Andreas Heise, at which point he applied for a position on the ADMIRE Programme.
As part of his ADMIRE Fellowship, Dr Li builds on his experiences of interdisciplinary research and used his expertise in polymer chemistry, biomaterials, tissue engineering and 3D printing to propose novel poly(ester amide)s as functional biomaterials in tissue engineering applications.
